NHS Closure – Sat, Jan 26 – Noon

The Nevada Historical Society will close on Saturday, January 26th at Noon and the Society will host a memorial to honor Phil Earl from 1:30 to 3:00 pm that afternoon.  All are welcome to attend.

Today we received the sad news that long-time respected Nevada Historical Society history curator and Nevada historian, Phil Earl has passed away.  His death came on January 8th.  Many of you knew Phil and a number of you worked alongside him for many years.  Phil worked at the Nevada Historical Society continuously from January 1973  until his retirement in June 1999.   Phil continued to volunteer at the Nevada Historical Society virtually every week since 1999 until his passing. He will be missed.
