Music Director Laura Jackson will talk about programming and commissioning for a symphony orchestra. How does a director choose what to play, and how does an orchestra choose a director?
The Reno Philharmonic is the subject of the latest exhibition at the Nevada Historical Society in Reno – “The Biggest Little Orchestra in the World: 50 Years of the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra,” and will be on display through April 6, 2019. This exhibition is a collaboration between the Nevada Historical Society, the Reno Philharmonic and Nevada Humanities.
In honor of this exhibition, the Reno Philharmonic has created a lecture series that will take place at the Nevada Historical Society. Don’t miss this last lecture!
