Birds of Nevada Lecture
September 26, 2019
5:30-6:30 pm
Guest speaker, Alan Gubanich
Alan Gubanich is a Biology Professor Emeritus from the University of Nevada Reno, Audubon Society member and Bird enthusiast.
Join Alan Gubanich, long-time member of the local Lahontan Audubon Society, as he takes you on a photographic tour of some of Nevada’s birds. To out-of-staters, Nevada may look like a barren desert wasteland, but the State has several distinct habitats (rivers, lakes, mountain forests, wetlands, marshes, riparian habitats) that support a surprising biodiversity of plants and animals, birds included!! Join us as Alan shows you some (but not all!) of the almost 500 species of birds that can be found throughout the State.
Admission to this fascinating lecture is $5 for adults; free for members and children 17 and younger.
