November 6, 12:00 pm. Part one of a five part lecture series, “Rediscovering our health through the environment”. Former City Hydrologist Lynell Garfield, M.S. and Founder of the Midtown Essential Oils Training Center discusses our Truckee River watershed, some of its nuances, and how a healthy citizenry with strong wellness lifestyles can protect the river more than anything!
This lively talk will include interesting stories and quips, guaranteed to interest and provide lasting insights on our own place and her time in this community on the Truckee River. We will learn about the river and inputs, vulnerabilities and resiliency. Lynell will begin to touch on a wellness lifestyle and healthy steps to living your fullest, most vibrant life here in Reno.
November 20, 12:00 pm. Part two of a five part lecture series, “Plant materials for optimal wellness” Lynell will advance the discussion on wellness and natural alternatives to modern medicines. In this session, Lynell will expand on our view of a wellness lifestyle and natural solutions available to common health challenges. Her Toxicology background lends itself nicely to offering helpful alternatives to traditional medicines that are simple and straightforward.
