We are thinking of creating a special bus tour in early October 2026 based on our June Nevada History – On The GO! program, “Nevada’s Oldest Settlement: Dayton or Genoa.” We also have several people interested in an early spring 2027 tour of the Sutro Tunnel in conjunction with our Exploring Nevada series.

Exploring Nevada – On The GO! “Nevada’s Oldest Settlement: Dayton or Genoa” Tour, early October 2026
We are compiling a list to know if enough people are interested in attending this tour. Michael Fischer and our panel of historians would like to put together this affordable fundraising bus tour for the Nevada Historical Society. Here’s your chance to learn from the experts about the ongoing debate over which is the oldest settlement in Nevada.
Exploring Nevada – On The GO! Sutro Tunnel Tour, spring 2027
We are compiling a list to know if enough people are interested in attending this tour. This special tour will have a basic registration fee to pay the Friends of Sutro Tunnel Foundation. This tour does not include transportation. You will learn the authentic history of Adolph Sutro, the surrounding town of Sutro, Nevada, and, of course, see the iconic Sutro Tunnel in person.
