Happy Birthday NHS
Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 10:00am to 3:00pm
Who doesn’t love a Birthday party? Come celebrate with NHS with a special celebration on the legacy of the organization. The event will be held in the front lawn and parking lot with living history and educational groups with historical demonstrations and great information about the many organizations that support history and education for Reno and Nevada. Inside the museum, docents will talk about artifacts and history and answer any questions.
The event also includes a special lecture on local historian, Dr. Jeanne Elizabeth Wier, by Dr. Su Kim Chung, Head of Special Collections Public Services, University Libraries at UNLV. This FREE event would not be complete without a birthday cake!
This year NHS will be celebrating our 120th Birthday as Nevada’s oldest museum in the state of Nevada! Don’t miss the great programs scheduled throughout the year in honor of this major milestone for NHS. 1904 – 2024 Enriching Lives Through History 120 Years.
